It has been said that three quarters of Scouting is spending time outdoors. This page is dedicated to Hiking, Biking, Camping and Backpacking.
In support of the focus on the outdoors, Troop 263 attempts to have one camping trip each month of the year.

In addition to the monthly campouts and the annual weeklong Scout Camp (usually the last week in July/first week in August, Troop 263 has a
tradition of offering our older scouts various high-adventure trips. We have gone to Sea Base three years ago (2009), Philmont Cavalcades
last summer (2010) and just came back from the Boundary Waters this year (2011). In the future, the troop is scuba diving at Seabase in 2012
and Troop 263 looks to go to The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve once it opens in 2013.

Camp scholarships are awarded to Scouts who could not attend camp without financial assistance. Camp scholarships are made possible by donations from concerned community groups, individuals, memorial funds, and donations to the council's Friends of Scouting Campaign. Camp scholarships are granted to Northernstar Council Scouts that are attending Northernstar Council summer camps. Scholarships are granted for amounts of one half the camp fee or less.
